Last month I had so much fun making these frozen banana pops for the kids and thought they turned out so cute! If you’re looking for a fun after-school snack idea to surprise (or make with) your kids then you definitely need to try these out!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Bananas
- Peanut Butter
- Melting Chocolate
- Popsicle Sticks
- M&M’s (optional)
- Crushed peanuts (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Coconut Flakes (optional)
- Sliced Almonds (optional)

First, you’ll cut your bananas and popsicle sticks in half. I had the thick popsicle sticks in my crafting box and I think these are definitely the ideal sticks to use. The smaller ones may not work. Then you will stick the popsicle sicks into the sliced end of the banana and stick in the freezer for 30 minutes or so just to slightly harden.

Next you will heat up your peanut butter so that it’s soft enough to dip the bananas in. Once you dip the bananas, you’ll place them back into the freezer for 30-45 minutes.

While the bananas are in the freezer you can prep your chocolate and toppings! Heat your melting chocolate right before you’re ready to remove your bananas from the freezer. Once you dip the peanute butter bananas into the chocolate- add your toppings and place back into the freezer for 30-45 minutes or until hardened. If you’re prepping these in advance for the week – store them in a container in the fridge after they have hardened in the freezer.

The kids will be so excited for this sweet & fun after-school snack! Even Blake loved them and keeps asking me to make them again. 🙂
