Hi friends! I’m so happy you’re here. If you’re new- this is a little bit about me.

I grew up near Austin, Texas and I still live in the area. I have a small obsession with cute coffee mugs (I own way too many), chocolate chip cookies & dogs (we have two)!

I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising, with a minor in Music. After school I married my amazing husband, Blake, and got my license to sell insurance. It sounds random- but my parent’s owned an insurance company! I was writing home and auto policies for our customers and while I was so thankful for a steady job, I wasn’t fulfilled creatively- so in 2014, I decided to start blogging on the side and I absolutely fell in love with it! It remained a side hustle/hobby for me while I began my journey as a mom. I left insurance and had a few opportunities to use my advertising degree. I took a job with a fashion brand as their Head of Influencer Relations and while I was there I dove even deeper into social media- learning the ins and outs of each social platform. After about 7 years of Hey Kaily Mae as my side hustle, I decided to take it full time in 2021 which also gave me the opportunity to be more of a hands-on mom. My husband and I have an 9 year old girl, named Aria, and a 6 year old little boy, named Archer! I love the freedom this job has provided me and it’s been a huge blessing in my life.

This path has been rewarding to say the least, and I’ve received countless amazing opportunities in these past eleven years. I have met incredible people from all over the country & that’s been one of my favorite parts about it.
