Raise your Pumpkin Spice if you’re excited for FALL!! Is this not the most Basic post you’ve ever seen? LOL. It’s fine… we’re fine. I’m…
Some days I feel like an absolute hot mess… anyone else? I hate feeling unorganized and rushed during the day (even though that’s sometimes unavoidable with a toddler, lol) so I try my hardest to take certain steps to make my life easier! I thought I’d go through and list some things that I like to do when I really want to be on top of my game!
Have you ever seen a fashion trend on someone and thought, “I could never pull that off…”? Well that’s how I’ve always been with this style of trousers! I was convinced that the high waisted cut of these would be awkward on my tall body, but after trying out these pants, I’m totally on board for this trend. I found these striped floral pants and thought they were so cute for summer. Since I’m a newbie for this style, I’ve put together some pointers that I think will help you wear trousers this season!
My look from our Valentine’s Day inspiration shoot, features this amazing black skirt from Express! I found this during their after Christmas sale but they have a lot of skirts like this still on their website. I paired it with a red crop top that I found at Kohls, and some red strappy heels. This is the perfect red hott look for a night out with your special someone or even all of your gals! I used my favorite bright red lipstick in Aphrodite by Napoleon Perdis and wore my favorite gold monogram necklace too. This was such a fun shoot with Haylee this weekend, and a little fun fact: this awesome pink wall was actually a Taco Cabana in Austin! HA! Well, I hope you all liked this look, let me know what you think below!
Everyone says wearing white after Labor Day is a “no-no,” and I am here today to prove them wrong! I think that any piece of clothing that is styled correctly can be worn anytime your heart desires; fashion has no rules! I wanted to pair my white denim jeans with this adorable sweater top from Sage Threads & Co because I thought that the neutrals really complimented each other. I loved that this sweater was sleeveless so that it made for a great transition piece from Summer to Fall! To really add to the Autumn “vibes” I threw on my tall brown boots to make for a polished look and kept with minimal accessories.
Even though it’s still so hot outside, I wanted to share this Fall look with you because this dress (top for me haha) was so fun and comfortable to wear! I found this dress at Sage Threads & Co. in Austin and had to feature it. It’s really light and flowy and you can wear it loose or you can tighten it up with the tie in the back! I paired it with my favorite skinny jeans and booties, and then of course couldn’t forget my fedora! This was a great top for my baby bump, but I think for me it would’ve been a little short for a dress (tall girl problems). If you’ve never heard of Sage Threads & Co, check them out on instagram and their website here!
