Wow, I can’t believe how weird it sounds to say, “It’s the year 2020!” I can still remember waking up on Christmas morning of 1999 and opening up a special “New Millennium” American Girl Doll for the year 2000. I was only 8 years old but I remember that moment so well because of how big of a deal it was. It’s crazy to think that was 20 years ago now!
I can’t even began to describe how ready I am for this new year. 2019 was amazing but it was a pretty tough year for us. We had a newborn, Aria decided she wanted to be a threenager, I got 2 new jobs and we moved into a new house last summer (in which we are still trying to settle into). As hard as it was though, I’m so thankful for everything it brought us. I will never forget this year because even through all of the crazy, we are so blessed. Archer is the sweetest baby boy and Aria loves being his big sister. He is crawling around and following her everywhere and she thinks it’s absolutely hilarious. I went through a lot of ups and downs during my pregnancy with Archer and throughout the beginning of his life but Blake and I agree that we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now! When we decided to have another baby we knew that the first year is always the hardest but we’ve almost made it!
In 2020 Aria is will turn 4 and Archer 1. I’ve settled into a job that I love and feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Our house is SO close to being exactly how we want it to be and Blake and I plan to start eating healthier and working out. We both haven’t been active much at all the past year. I’ve never been able to work out while pregnant and Blake was constantly helping me with Aria last year when he wasn’t at work because I was so tired and/or hurting all the time. We are both looking forward to things being a little different for a change in 2020!
I could go on, but I won’t ramble! Below are my actual 2020 goals that I would love to start accomplishing. Writing them out helps me to stay accountable and I like to look back on them in the years to come.
- Work out 4 times per week.
- Eat better/ take care of myself
- Get my eyebrows microbladed! (been wanting to try this for a while)
- Create more content for my blog.
- Get second piercings in my ears!
- Read my bible/ find a church we love!
- Cook more for my family (Blake does all the cooking right now)
- Finish all of our house projects (clean garage, finish painting, organize closets, finish Archer’s room and our room, etc.)
That’s about it for this year! I have a lot I wan’t to accomplish and I’m hoping this will be a year for me to get back to myself again because being pregnant and having a newborn is stressful for me so now that those things are behind us I feel like I can accomplish anything. How are y’all feeling about the new year? Ready for it or still trying to recover from 2019??
