Happy New Year everyone! I can’t believe it’s 2019 when I can literally remember celebrating year 2000… I was 9 but still! That’s almost two decades that just flew by it feels like. Since it’s the beginning of the new year I always like to write out my resolutions and goals for the year because it helps me to keep myself accountable.
Every year I set a new fitness resolution… and it always seems like I never meet it. In the past couple of years with a baby/toddler I’ve felt like I didn’t ever have much time for working out or just sticking to a schedule with it all because my life was so hectic everyday… but this year I’m switching things up a bit. Instead of setting this *unachievable goal for myself I’m giving myself some grace. This year I’m setting the goal to just get active twice a week. That could mean a walk around the block, maybe playing outside with Aria, or even a jog with baby boy in the Spring. That may seem like nothing to a lot of people but I feel like if I can just make myself achieve that then hopefully I’ll build on it after the baby is born, once life gets back to normal!
Just for reference, I really enjoy running and working out. I ran cross country and track for 7 years of my life, including one year in college and loved every second of it. I was one of those “crazy” people who enjoyed running 7-9 miles before school, haha. But, life happened and I got busy with work and babies and I just didn’t make it a priority like I used to. So, I’m hoping that by setting this small goal this year for my resolution that I will gradually and naturally start getting back into the swing of things.
I’m super excited to start off the beginning of this new journey with a comfy pair of new kicks! I found these blush pink Nikes at Famous Footwear and I loved them! I have nothing like that and I also love how they just slip right on. Easy Mom shoes right there!
