We’re Pregnant with Baby #2!

Wow, it feels really good to finally be publishing this post!  I’m so excited to announce that Blake and I are expecting baby # 2 and Aria is going to be a big sister!! I’ve been waiting very impatiently to reveal the news and I’m so glad we can finally share. It’s been a long pregnancy already but it’s finally starting to get a little easier. Blake and I decided to start trying for a baby in January and finally got pregnant in June. Getting pregnant with Aria was so easy that I just assumed it would be easy again but not so much. As every month went by with no positive pregnancy test I began to wonder what was wrong and why I wasn’t getting pregnant… but God’s timing is best and we are so thankful to be bringing another baby into this world! I originally wanted to get pregnant closer to Fall so his timing worked out perfectly! ๐Ÿ™‚

How we found out:

A couple of days before my birthday I had felt some different symptoms that are related to pregnancy (I will go into detail in another ‘first-trimester post soon) and I was oddly emotional. I think the very first sign was me crying on the couch while watching 101 Dalmatians with Aria, haha! I remember Blake looking over at me like ‘are you kidding me?’…cut me some slack, the mommy dog was so sad when her babies got taken away!! On the morning of my birthday I had Blake pick up some pregnancy tests (and breakfast) after dropping Aria off at school. When he got home I wasn’t completely sure if I wanted to take the pregnancy test or not because I had been getting a little discouraged when all of the past tests were negative. I didn’t want to be disappointed on my birthday but I’m also not a patient person so I decided to take it after all and it was positive!! I screamed from the bathroom mostly from disbelief and then decided I should take another one just to be safe. After two positive tests Blake and I hugged and I let out a few *happy tears. This differed a bit from my first pregnancy because when I found out I was pregnant with Aria I cried out of fear of the unknown. Aria was not planned so I didn’t feel ready to be pregnant but again, God’s timing prevails and she is the best thing that has EVER happened to me.

I’m currently 14 weeks along and I found out at about 4 weeks or so. I hadn’t even missed my next period yet so it was super early on. We also found out the gender of the baby already which I will be announcing soon too! We can’t wait to reveal the gender of the baby and of course I will be covering many of my must haves here on the blog for any mommas who may be going through the same as me, either right now or in the future! I’ve been really MIA on here and on Instagram but now that I’m feeling better I’m excited to start sharing like normal again! Drop your questions below and if you’re pregnant too, let me know sop we can share war stories, haha!

Thanks for stopping by to read tonight! I will be on Instagram stories tomorrow talking about everything that’s happened in the last two months of life so if you don’t follow me there yet, click here.

Last but not least, shout out to Jenna Petty for these dreamy photos! She’s so talented and my jaw dropped when I saw these photos! If you’re local I definitely recommend booking your next session with her! Below are photos without my filter added. Her editing is gorgeous!

Hey Laura! Not sure how I missed this… so sorry!
I was 14 weeks in these photos and the sickness still didn’t go away until week 16 or so! Then in my second trimester I got like 3 colds and I’ve pretty much been struggling this whole time, lol. I can relate to lying in bed for days at a time. It’s so hard! I hope by now you are past your first trimester and feeling a little better? When are you due?
