Thank you to The Vineyard Bed & Breakfast at Lost Creek Ranch for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
There’s only one proper way to start off this blog post, and that’s by saying…this weekend was magical.
Blake and I had the pleasure of staying out at The Vineyard Bed & Breakfast at Lost Creek Ranch in Sunrise Beach Village this weekend, and we had the most amazing time thanks to the owners, Dave and Kathy. This is the first post of many in a new series I’m wanting to start here on Hey Kaily Mae called “Hill Country Getaways.” The Hill Country has been my home for my entire life and for that reason (and because it’s so darn gorgeous) it is so special to me, and I want to share some of it’s hidden gems with you guys. Blake and I started off Saturday afternoon checking into the amazing Shiraz suite at the B&B. I’ve added some pictures of the room below for you all to check out too! Each room has a different design and theme to them and all are immaculate. After settling into our room, we went exploring and found some incredible views amongst the grapevines. My parents kept Aria for us so we could have a night away and it was exactly what we wanted and needed. We didn’t have to travel far for our ‘staycation’, as this place is nestled near Kingsland about 40 minutes from Austin. It’s an easy and beautiful drive that makes for an easy weekend getaway! We got to talk and share some laughs when old stories of college days were brought up, and we got to have an all around relaxing and fun weekend.
One of the most memorable events of our stay was the dinner that Dave and Kathy prepared for us. Upon request you can enjoy a gourmet meal from Dave and Kathy and I strongly suggest you add that to your stay because it’s one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. The food was so fresh and I felt like I was at a fancy 5-star restaurant in Austin! After our unbelievable dinner we drank some wine and visited with some other guests, and when it got dark we headed up to our room to get comfortable and watch a movie! The rest of the night was history, and we woke up the next morning refreshed and ready for the day. We enjoyed another meal from Dave and Kathy in the morning (picture below) with some pastries, coffee and juice.
I’m beyond thrilled to have this be our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast. I would 100% recommend this establishment and hope to stay there again myself one day in the future. If you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway this summer that is just a short drive from the city, then this is it! They also provide the property as a wedding venue and it would be magical, I guarantee it! It was even more wonderful than we expected and we will cherish the memories we made together while there last weekend. Thanks for stopping by to read today, and stay tuned for more in this new series of “Hill Country Getaways!”
