I really love planning events and even though it wears me out, I start planning months in advance so that everything is perfect! Aria’s first birthday will be one for the books that’s for sure! Everything went so well and all of my ideas carried through and looked even better than I thought. We had lots of friends and family come out for the event, and I’m so thankful for everyone who attended. We know her first birthday was a celebration of one year of parenthood just as much as it was one year of life for her and we had a blast celebrating with all our loved ones!
I started with all of the decoration pictures first and then I added in candids from the party! Aria is obsessed with Minnie & Mickey Mouse so that’s what really sold me on the theme. I a lot of the stuff I made, but I will link everything down below if you want to purchase anything I did. I’m going to list everything below too! I hope you enjoy seeing inside our little party and thanks for stopping by to read!
Aria’s Birthday Hat– Little Blue Olive. I will link it at the bottom!
Door Sign– I made it with ribbon, this font, and different colored construction paper.
Tassels– from Balloon Bar, the balloon popped before the party so confetti went everywhere haha.
Presents of the Front porch– I wrapped individual boxes and them cut out ONE on glitter paper.
Mickey & Minnie Ears– linked below.
Chalkboard sign– I wrote with chalk markers.
Donald’s Drink Station– We served pink lemonade, unsweet tea, and sweet tea. I displayed mason jars for use, and also added some pink and green glasses for the lemonade. I put some lemons in a bowl on the table and cute some fresh lemons for the rims of the cups!
ARIA MAE banner– this was made by a friend for my baby shower and I just kept it! I put pink balloons on each side and a gold tassel banner behind it.
Food table– I used a white plastic table cloth and put a gold sequin table runner over it. I also added a pink bow to the front. This table held the hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and Mickey’s Mousekatools (utensils).
Photo Backdrop– This was so easy to make! It cost me $4 (not counting the gold dots, which I borrowed)! All you do is get three different colored plastic table cloths- $1 each- and you cut and braid the pieces at the top. I added some pink balloons to the top, also $1 for the bag at the dollar store. Next to the backdrop, we put some emoji pillows, some boas and some photo props in a basket for people to use when taking pictures!
Aria’s Cake– Made by Cupcake Chatteau in Marble Falls, Texas.
Aria’s 1 year sign (behind the cake)- From an Etsy shop. I will link below.
Cake Table– Gold sequin table cloth, Aria’s smash cake, and a sheet cake for guests, Aria’s 1 year sign, flowers, and Pluto’s Puppy Chow!
Puffs & Gold ARIA balloons- I will link below.
High Chair tutu– I made this with white & gold glitter tulle.
Daisy’s Donut Wall– This was one of my favorite parts of the party! I found the dresser at a thrift store and painted it red for the party. I also drew black mickey mouses on the drawer pulls! We got Round Rock donuts for the peg board and I wrote Aria’s ‘happy birthday’ sign for the top of it. Finally, I finished it off with some greenery around the top and some flowers in the corner. I secured them with floral wire and tape!
For Guests: We got a plastic swimming pool and put some plastic balls and emoji beach balls in it for the kids. We left out some of Aria’s toys for the other kids to play with too. We borrowed some corn hole boards for the adults, and finally I made a video that played inside in our living room of pictures and videos from Aria’s first year of life. That was a lot of work but I’m really happy I was able to finish that for the party! Everyone oohed and ahhed as they passed through the living room so that provided a little bit of entertainment too.
