Pregnancy Update: Week 33

I’m 34 weeks and finally doing a little pregnancy update here on the blog! So, here it goes.

Gender: Girl

Pains/ Symptoms: I have experienced a decent amount of heartburn which has NOT been fun and I never got heartburn before pregnancy. I have some back pain too which I’ve been told is normal but it still sucks haha. Sleeping is becoming more and more difficult, and my belly button is now an “outie.”

Nursery colors: Gold, Black, White, & Pink. I made an inspiration post here, and here is my Pinterest board!

Nursery Progress: Almost there! We have all of the furniture we need, so now we are just putting the finishing touches on the room. We haven’t finished hanging pictures and we need to install a light fixture too but other than that it is almost done!

Doctor: Had a 33 week appointment and it went really well. I have gained a little over 20 lbs, maybe 25 lbs. We also had a quick ultrasound to make sure she was in the right position and the doctor confirmed that she is indeed a SHE. I had doubts so I am glad we got another look. My next appointment is at 35 weeks and after that it will be every week until my due date, February 15th!

What I am wearing: I have gotten to a point where I am mostly wearing comfy leggings and one pair of jeans I got. I had a pair of distressed black jeans from H&M that I loved but the band wasn’t very stretchy and they got really uncomfortable. My mom thankfully got me a couple of maternity tops for Christmas that I am sure I will start to rotate through. I didn’t think I was going to need them but I was wrong lol. I am trying to stay fashionable by adding different accessories, shoes and outer layers at this point.

Emotions: Honestly, I feel pretty good most days. Blake says I am more enjoyable as a pregnant women than I was before haha (whatever that means). I hear you start to get emotional towards the end, and I can say my 30th week was a really hard week. I experienced every emotion possible I think and I kind of shut down and kept to myself for the week. I think a big part of it was I was tired and not eating as well as I needed too. I was also sad because my body was starting to hurt more and I was coming to the realization that I was gonna have to take it a little easier than maybe (mentally) I wanted to. BUT, I got over it and now I feel fine haha.

Well, that is really all I have to say. I got behind on pregnancy updates so this one was a little long! I hope you all have a great New Year!
