Seattle Travel Guide

I’m so excited to bring you my first “Travel” post here on the blog! Blake had to travel to Seattle for a work conference and I decided to tag along. We got to explore Seattle together when he got done with work each day and it was so much fun! Such a beautiful city to see and the weather was absolutely incredible. I put together some “musts” for food and fun below if you ever find yourself up in the northwest!

Sights

Chihuly Gardens & Glass Museum– This museum was so beautiful- inside and out. I couldn’t believe the artwork and it was definitely a fun little outing for the night!

Space Needle– This is a must see for Seattle- duh! You can go up it if you want but we didn’t because Blake is afraid of heights hehe.

Bainbridge Island– Catch the Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge for a relaxing day away from the hustle and bustle. The ferry is about a 30 minute ride and you get a beautiful view of Seattle from the ocean. Our Bainbridge trip was the perfect activity for our last day because we were exhausted from our week of sightseeing in Seattle. There are some cute shops on the island and the fall foliage was to die for. We also got an amazing crepe as a snack!

Pikes Place Market– If you go to Seattle you know you have to go to Pike’s. Go grab some beautiful fresh flowers and see all of the fresh fish in the marketplace! You won’t regret this stop.

Pier 55 & The Great Wheel– This is a fun place to hang out for dinner time! Grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants in the area and ride the Great Ferris Wheel- if you aren’t scared of heights!

Pioneer Square– This area was so beautiful and just minutes from the Washington state ferry dock and the Great Wheel. There are cute shops around too and bunch of great picture spots.

Food

Le Panier Bakery– The cutest little french bakery near Pike’s Market. I got some yummy macarons and Blake got a chocolate croissant, yummm!

The Pink Door– This place was probably my favorite from our trip. I ate their ‘Lasagna Pink Door’ and it’s the best Lasagna both Blake and I have ever had! It has a deck that overlooks the water and they had live music too. Perfect for a date night with my hubs.

Cupcake Royale– A delicious cupcake & coffee place! They mix their cupcakes with ice cream too and mmmm it was sooo good!

Beecher’s Handmade Cheese– This place is located near Pike’s Place and is known for their homemade macaroni and cheese. We got the “World’s Best” & the “Mariachi” mac & cheese. Blake was obsessed!

Zeitgeist Coffee– This coffee shop and bakery was located near Pioneer Square. I actually ended up spending almost 2 hours here working while Blake was in his conference and Aria slept in her stroller! Very quaint and cozy and had a great vanilla latte!

Frans Chocolates– This place has some of the best caramels ever! Splurge on a little box to snack on for the rest of your trip or get mini boxes to give as gifts!

Shopping

Pikes Place Market– Along with the food and flowers, there are lots of great little boutiques and merchant set-ups in and around Pike’s Place. We ended up getting some local honey from a vendor and we brought it home to enjoy on our toast and in our tea! You can get Seattle memorabilia and much more in the marketplace too.

Union Square– This area has your Zara, Nordstrom, Macy’s & some other big stores for your enjoyment.

Pioneer Square– There was also a lot of cute little shops in this area too!

Here’s a little vlog Blake and I made while we were on the trip. It’s not the most professional video you’ve ever seen, I promise, but we had fun doing it!

Thanks for stopping by to read! I hope this helps you plan a fun trip to Seattle in the future! Enjoy!

XO,

Kaily Mae
